Register to remit to the Philippines with Metrobank Japan to experience safe, fast, and 24/7 remittances.

New registration can be done in two ways: online and by postal mail. Please prepare your valid ID/s for a smooth registration process.

Register Online

  • Prepare valid ID/s before registration
  • Read and agree to the important remarks, then enter a valid email address to proceed
  • Input all required remitter information in English / alphanumeric characters
  • Input all required beneficiary information in English / alphanumeric characters
  • Select preferred service
    METS
    EPRC

  • Upload a clear photo of your valid ID/s
    New Registration: 2 IDs
    Existing Remitters: 1 ID

Mobile phone users can directly take a photo to upload. Note that the application cannot be processed if details are unclear.

  • A confirmation email will be sent after you finish your application
  • After processing for approximately 3 banking days, your remittance card/account number will be sent to your mailing address
  • Receive your remittance card (EPRC) or account number (METS) by postal mail
  • You can now send money to the Philippines

You will receive your remittance card/account number around 1 week after registration. Once received, you may send money to the Philippines 24/7!

Attach a copy of your valid ID/s on the ID Submission Form

Registration may not be accepted if details indicated on the ID are unclear.

Cut the address of your respective Metrobank Japan branch (Tokyo or Osaka) from the Address Sheet and paste it to an envelope.

No stamp/postage is necessary if is pasted on an envelope.

Insert the following documents in the envelope and drop it at your nearest post office box.

  • Overseas Remittance Application Registration and Declaration Form
  • ID Submission Form

If you pasted the Address Sheet on your envelope, there is no need for a postage stamp. Please ensure all required information and copies of your ID/s are included in the forms.

  • Receive your remittance card (EPRC) or account number (METS) by postal mail
  • You can now send money to the Philippines

You will receive your remittance card/account number around 1 week after your documents are delivered to our office. Once received, you may send money to the Philippines 24/7!

List of Acceptable IDs

Please refer to the list below of acceptable IDs for registration.
Note that we will only send postal mail to the address noted on your submitted ID/s/Supplemental documents.

Japanese Nationals

Please prepare a copy of your ID / supplemental documents from the list below.

  • New Registration: (Total 2) Choose 2 IDs from List A, OR 1 from List A + 1 from List BEx. Driver’s License + Health Insurance Card
  • Existing Remitter: (Total 1) Choose 1 from A
  1. Prepare 2 supplemental documents if there is no current address on the ID.
  2. Supplemental document of a family member whose last name and address are the same as the remitter is also acceptable.
    However, as with the case of (*1) above, at least one of the supplementary documents should be in the name of the remitter.
  3. Registration is complete once the confirmation mail sent by registered mail is delivered to you.

A. ID (With Current Address)

  • Driver’s License
  • My Number Card
  • Health Insurance Card / Elderly Health Insurance Card
    ※Please cover the insurance identification number in black ink before submitting the form.
  • Disabled Person's Handbook/Card
  • Japanese Passport (Issued before February 4, 2020)
  • Residence Certificate / Seal Registration Certificate (issued within 3 months from the date of application)

B. Supplemental Documents (With Current Address)

  • Payment Receipt or tax certificate of national tax or local tax
  • Payment receipt of social insurance premiums
  • Payment receipt of utility bills (electricity, gas, water)*
    *Payment receipts of phone bills are not accepted. Utility bills without payment receipts and/or bank account transfer notices are not accepted.

Foreign Nationals

Please prepare a copy of your ID / supplemental documents from the list below.

  • New Registration: (Total 2) Residence Card + 1 ID/Document from List A or BEx. Residence Card +
    My Number Card
  • Existing Remitter: (Total 1) Residence Card
  1. Both ID and supplemental document/s should indicate current address.
  2. Registration is complete once the confirmation mail sent by registered mail is delivered to you.
