Revised Age Requirement to Apply for Remittance Services from April 1, 2022
Important
Please be advised that effective April 1, 2022, Metrobank Japan Branches will accept applications for Remittance Services to the Philippines from applicants aged 18 and above. This is in line with the revision of the Japan Civil Code lowering the age of adulthood to 18 from 20 beginning April 1, 2022. We will no longer require documents for parental consent for applicants aged 18 to 19.
Please note that all applications to register for the Metrobank remittance services shall still be subject to existing policies and procedures of the Bank.
